How hard is it to switch majors once (and if) I'm accepted? For example, if I become unhappy with my chosen major during the later bit of the highschool year, will I be able to easily switch at the start of university?

Haha....don't worry about it now. What you put on your application is non-binding.

And by the way, many, many people switch concentrations during their stay here.

How hard is it to switch from a non-Engineering concentration to an Engineering one? Is that at all possible, assuming I did not mention engineering anywhere in the application?
I chose Biochemistry as a possible concentration, though I am interested in Biomedical engineering as well. Possible? Difficult?

Hey iamnervous,
I'm also going to be BME concentration at Harvard. Luckily Harvard isn't MIT, which does bioengineering by sophomore lottery, or John Hopkins, which singles out BME applicants. I think you'll be fine.

As far as I'm aware of...most traditional concentrations do not have caps.
Only special application-only con. like Social Studies and His & Lit have caps.

Thanks morality and WindCloudUltra!
I now need to look a bit more into the specifics of each to see which one I think would suit me best. I know I don't have to decide until end of Freshman year, but I can't let it go :P
