So I know you're allowed to switch tests on the subject test day itself but I'm not sure how to go about it. Do I go to the proctor and tell her that I'm switching tests before the test starts or can I just take the test that I want to without notification?

oh btw, I'm taking the test on Saturday so responses would be lovely :)

freakout mode

i'm pretty sure you don't have to notify them. you just start taking the other test cause they're all in one book

You'll get a book with all of the test in it. Just open the book to the subject you want to write, bubble in the test code on your answer sheet, and begin when the proctor tells you to. Repeat for each test you write.

Yep, you can just decide when you're there. Super easy.

Ok, awesome :)

Just one question, is switching tests commonly done?

so if you signed up for two tests, can you take three on test day?

I'm sure it is...it's not like they announce it every time someone switches though; no one's going to know but you.

Yes; I'm not exactly clear on the procedure for this, but I think you just need to talk to the proctor before hand, possibly fill out a form, and then the Collegeboard will bill you for the additional test.
