I read that it's easy to switch between schools (CLAS->Marshall, for example) at USC; in fact, it's simple for every school except for CNTV. So that brings me to my question, what about transferring to the School of Architecture? I know it's a rather smaller school, and a portfolio is required when applying. Is it possible to switch now? I'll be a freshman this coming August at CLAS, but I was just wondering about this. It's not entirely definite, but I'm researching more about it.

Thanks!

You need to call the school of architecture, and obviously you know about the portfolio requirement. If you're going to do it, do it now as the program is 5 years no matter what. If you were to do a year of GEs first, that would put you in school for six years, so don't wait until you've already taken other classes! I've honestly never heard of this happening, but if they have fewer people register than they anticipated, it might work out.

oh, and when you call, if at all possible talk to Jennifer Park. She's by far the most helpful of the administrators there!
