Hi, I kind of have an emergency here. With the AP Calc test being tomorrow, I already sent an email to Cal saying that despite my application stating I'd take the BC test, I've decided to take the AB one instead. Would they rescind my admission? T_T There's no BC class at my school, and I've been studying by myself. Bit off more than I can chew in challenging myself. Any help?

No they won’t! AP tests aren’t required for admission. You don’t even have to pass them. All you have to do is pass your classes.

Exactly as alwaysleah says - the commitment was to take a set of high school classes of a certain level of difficulty. They don’t care whether you ever take the AP test, they just care that you took on the challenge of the class covering the material.

However, a score of 5 on AB is worth less than a score of 5 on BC in terms of placement into more advanced math courses.
