I just got into WUSTL off of waitlist and was curious -- they say it's very easy to switch your college/major, and was wondering how I would do that (I was admitted to Engineering but definitely want to switch to Arts & Sci).

You would contact your appropriate dean in engineering (either Ron Laue or Melanie Osbourne). Essentially say ‘yo. I want to switch. Help me with this?’
(man I need sleep… why am I on cc?).

And you’re good. It’s really as easy as people say it is, especially the summer before you start.

How do you know which dean to contact? I applied for CS.

And thanks…and sleep is good.

It’s based on your last name. Laue typically has the first half of the alphabet, while Osborn has the second half.

But it probably wouldn’t be an issue to email either one. They’re bother very nice and super helpful.

Thanks Johnson. Appreciate it (:

May want to wait until after you register for courses to switch (engineers do it in the summer). Not sure if they’d drop your courses when you switch though, but maybe worth a try.
