ok so i was admitted for the LSA college because i originally intended on going into architecture buuuuut i changed my mind and want to go into an engineering field so my question is, is it possible to switch from LSA to engineering? would they have to look at my application again because i feel like i am still well qualified for the program? thanks for any help

From what I hear from my cousin who's a current engineering student at Umich, it's more difficult to transfer from LSA to Engineering, and I think they do re-evaluate your stuff. If you're well-qualified despite this, then it won't really matter.

Typically speaking, most first year classes for Engineers are taken in LSA anyway. If you do well (mostly As and Bs) in those classes (Calculus III, Linear Algebra and DFQs, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science etc...), transfering from LSA to Engineering shouldn't be too much of a problem.
