Switching dorms

<p>Hey, I was wondering what the chances were of getting a new dorm if I don't like the one was assigned to initially. I was initially assigned to Church dorm which I'm hesitant about because it's all girls and I wanted co-ed. I want to switch out to either go to Boggs, Lipscomb or Mell. Actually I would really like Myers, but I'm not in the Honors program, so that probably won't happen.</p>

<p>Anyway, I know lots of girls are contesting their Brumby dorm for the same reason of it being all-girls, and apparently if I request another dorm then I void my contract with Church. So I'm worried I might get stuck with Brumby in the end, if I don't get Boggs, Lipscomb, or Mell. Oh, and I registered really early for housing (Dec 25 2008 --got it EA!) so I'm pretty high up on the list to get my request considered first over people who registered way later.</p>

<p>So, what do you guys think? Thanks for any input!</p>

<p>I switched from Hill to Boggs after I got my contract last May, and I had no problems. I think you’ll get your request.</p>

<p>The best Freshman co-ed dorm is CRESWELL by far. This is where I spent my last year, and it was one great year spent with the green monster. I recommend Creswell, and if not Creswell, Russell. The rooms won’t be as nice as Myers, Reed, or O-House, but the people you will meet will more than make up for it.</p>
