yes you are completely mad if you do so..... i am just saying that because i will die to get into that school. what was your gpa when you apply for USC, was it from high school or transfer from other college?

I am really having trouble narrowing down specific careers. I would be happy on wall street (if I could make it), but then again I'd be happy with a government job at the Fed or the SEC. It's certainly not about the money (as the government jobs indicate), but I don't want to have to scramble too hard around graduation just hoping to find something.

I do want to leave the door open for an MBA down the road.

One thing that really scares me about my current finance degree is that I don't really have options for grad school, at least immediately, as any decent MBA program will require experience. I suppose I could make the transition to accounting...but...ehhh...

walkin07, how do you think going into econ will keep your options open better than business?
i'm just curious, because i'm interested to get into business, but the career line between each major that has to do with business seems really vague.
for example, someone with finance major can become a project manager at a firm, despite the fact that there are people majoring in management.

term, that question should really be a PM or deserve it's own thread. We're here to help the OP...

As for your decision, it's a hard call definately. If you don't necessarily DESIRE to get into a MBA, but you just wanna "keep the door open" that isn't enough justification to switch your major.

BTW, working at the fed. Lmfao, that's funny. Like saying "i wanna intern at the supreme court" hahhaa.

If you're like a junior already, i wouldn't switch either, considering the cost of tuition (if you're not on scholarships).
