Hello,

I was already applied to Pitt Main as a Materials Science and Engineering major in the Swanson School of Engineering. Just wanted to ask if there was anything extra, such as reapplying if I wanted to switch from Materials Engineering into Neuroscience, since I would be switching from the Swanson School of Engineering to the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences.

I am also a bit worried about my grades for senior year right now. I am pretty sure I will end up with a C in AP Physics (I had no physics experience prior), and I have a crazy English teacher who wouldn't even let me turn in a paper at one point, and is CRAZY. This semester was really hard for me, as my grandmother was sick too, and I had to travel orverseas over the hoidays. I even had to quit my last year on the school swim team. I had AP Physics, English Honors, AP Chem (which I love - A - in the class) and AP Calc AB. I am having a hard time in AP Calculus too. I went from getting mostly A's to getting B-s and Cs in my first semester of senior year. What is Pitt's policy on rescinding? Will this hurt my chances of switching majors? I know next semester will be MUCH better for me, definitely.

I am not making up excuses for myself, I acutally enjoyed my classes, they were challenging. In the past year, I have been switching back and forth between engineering and neuroscience. I love both fields. But I have always been passionate about neuroscience from a previous experience, which I can't fully elaborate here, but I was kind of infatuated with engineering because of the ease of getting a job. The more I think about it, I think my heart is really in neuroscience. I excel more in the biology and chemistry than math and physics.

I am stressing a bit over this, so any help would be beneficial.
