Switching from mechanical engineering to biomedical engineering

I got accepted for ME for early decision, but i am now considering switching to Biomedical engineering? would it be better for me to take a quarter at the school and switch or switch when i get up to the school for something like open house or jus call them?

i have a fair amount of ap credit which puts me ahead so i hope that helps

I’m not sure what you should do, but please let us know! You can see on the site at each major, how to switch. ME is very popular, so maybe it will be easier to move to Biomed. That has become more impacted too though. There is a big difference between the two. My son is in as Materials, but was very close to choosing Biomed. He may end up switching later in his first year. He needs to know more about the programs from a personal point of view. The websites make them all look great! I think they can make changes easier when they are a students attending classes. They do need to do it before the end of the first year IMO. Keep us posted!
