So I got my housing yesterday and was super excited until I noticed that instead of getting a double I got a small triple, one of my least preferred options. So I emailed the housing coordinator and she said she put me on the wait list.

Anyways, I was wondering from those who might have been through this, is it likely that I do get switched? Or should I just get used to the idea of a small triple? And is there anything I can do to make it more likely?

And if they do change my room might it happen AFTER the move in? Because that would be unfortunate.

It’s not likely, in any college. Freshmen commonly get small triples. Every year a ton of frosh yet put into them and request to transfer into a different room type, but very few people transfer into small triples. You might get lucky however and not have a 3rd roommate. I’ve seen it happen fairly often.

haha i got put into a ST too! It was not even close to being one of my top preferred room, I also requested to change and I am on the waitlist (for crown) for a double. Hopefully we can get a room change. If not, I’ll just make the best of what I get.

I wonder if the waitlist puts people by who requested a change first the more likely to get a room change. I emailed them back as soon as i got the email, so we shall see XD
