i am gonna be a pharm d student but still have that nagging feeling in the back of my head that i should become a doctor...is it possible to still continue the pharm d program or at least try it and still be able to switch out and go pre med?? will the first two years cover the things i need for pre-med IF i decide out of pharmacy?? will my first year experience be enough for me to really see if pharmacy is for me??

If at the end of two years, you don't want to go to pharmacy school, you still have two more years of college to complete any prerequisites you might have remaining.

I was thinking that you hadn't yet started the direct PharmD portion (i.e. your last four years), which may (in retrospect) not be a correct assumption. I don't know what a medical school would think of those as a prerequisite -- i.e. the equivalent of a (very weird) post-bacc.

will the first pre pharmacy years give me enough experience and perspective on whether pharmacy is for me?

At my school, premed and prephram students take the same classes the first two or three years. If its the same at your school, then you prereq are fine if you you decide to switch. But you would have to take the MCAT and not the PCAT.

The problem, if I remember correctly, is that Kobe has entered a 0-6 pharmacy program, and not a regular undergrad school as a pre-pharm student. Thus this gets tricky. Just another reason why i'm not a fan of advanced, direct from HS programs be they BA/MD or 0-6 Pharm...
