So I applied to Boston College and I was accepted under the Lynch School of Education, but I’m realizing now that education is not something i want to do, but rather the arts and sciences. Does anyone know how easy it will be to switch into A&S and has anyone done it before? I’m freaking out that I might not be able to switch out of education and I can’t see myself pursuing it in the future

@vball12- I do believe you can apply to transfer into A and S from the Lynch School but you must complete your freshman year at BC in the Lynch School before switching out. You can refer to the Internal BC transfer form on BC’s website. With that being said, many students double major with the secondary major being from A and S. I hope that helps!

Basically you have to go to lynch ur freshman year but you can try to transfer your second year. Idk how that would affect your decision if u really want to go into arts and sciences

Is switching into A&S after my freshman year going to put me at any disadvantage or delay in getting in all the requirements I need?

@vball12- switching after your first year into A&S will not delay anything. Your first year are general requirement classes.

@vball12 yea what dreambig said. Also even if u go to lynch, u can still take courses and do a major in CAS. However u cant go to CAS and take classes at Lynch. So if you have an interest in both education and arts and sciences, BC recommends Lynch rather than CAS

Okay, thank you so much!
