Switching LitHum Second Semester: Possible?

Hi,

So first semester of LitHUm is almost over. I really hate it. Or more specifically, I dislike my instructor (a graduate student). The instructor doesn't guide the discussions in class at all, and it's a free for all for two hours meandering aimlessly through the texts. I did very well on the midterm, however, have been doing poorly on the papers. I talked to my friend from another section and her professor seems much more lenient, knowledgable, and doesn't grade papers like we're submitting them for Pulitzers. My instructor apparently gave out only five grades above a C+ for our first paper, and simply told us to "write inductively" without telling us how/what she is exactly looking for.

Is it possible to switch sections of Lithum if I talk to the registrar? I realize it's probably difficult, but I've heard that if you have a time-conflict they often allow you to. Thanks~

You don't need the registrar's permission to change for second semester. You register on line for the section you want.

I believe they already will have you signed up for your current class, but you can change the section on line providing there's space in the class you want. You shouldn't have any trouble changing as many kids need to change their sections due to real scheduling conflicts. It can all be one during the on line registration.
