DC is admitted to CMU, College of Engineering. How difficult it is to switch Material Science Engineering to Chemical Engineering or Electrical & Computing Engineering; also, to different colleges like college of Humanities and Social Science (Statistics & Data Science)
I would contact admissions and ask.
I did not see info on line but various chat boards said it’s not a good school for people to change majors.
That said call and find out.
The letter of admission is general engineering letter. You should be able to choose any engineering major other than CS. Congrats.
Read the acceptance letter. All CIT admits are automatically undeclared and free to choose any major/combination of major from CIT (this includes ECE which they stopped restricting a year or two ago). Switching to Dietrich should be easy(?) as it has less clout than CIT, but Stat/ML is hard to switch into even as a literal Dietrich student, so…
