Switching Major in UCSD?

Firstly I would like to state that I have researched this, but answers are rather ambiguous.

I have recently been accepted to UCSD under the major or Electrical Engineering. This was my second choice major after Mechanical Engineering, which was impacted. Originally I wanted to put Computer Science as my second choice; however, because of its status as under review for impacted status, I choose to put Electrical Engineering instead.

My question is whether or not it is possible to change the major I was admitted to between the time I was admitted and May 1st when I must commit. (In other words can I switch majors before I commit to the UCSD). If the answer to the previous question is yes, then I would like to know how difficult it would be to transfer into Computer Science from Electrical Engineering.

Bump. I’d like to know if it’s ever possible to switch from EE to CS(which was my first choice)

no you can’t switch in this process. i would wait until after your 3rd year and declare the major or do the CCC route and get a guaranteed seat.

Anyone wants to trade colleges with me? I am currently in Sixth college and want to transfer to Marshall. anyone is willing to trade??? please let me know

^You can’t switch colleges until you finish its writing classes and can prove that switching will help you graduate earlier.

^true, but adm said if you actually find someone to trade colleges with then it wont be necessary to take the courses. thats why im trying to trade with a current ucsd student.

^Oh really? Who exactly told you that? I wasn’t aware of that if so.
