<p>I'm applying as a history major to UCB but the acceptance rate to the social sciences division is only 25%. I was wondering if I could send my application in as a philosophy major, which has a acceptance rate of 46%. Then I could apply to the history department once I actually get to UCB. Is this possible? Does this make sense to anyone? I think the admissions process is slowly driving me insane.</p>
<p>I would be worried about not being able to apply back into the social science department from the humanities.</p>
