<p>Hi guys! I finally decided to make an account after being admitted to UCSD. Lol. Anyways, moving on, I was admitted as undeclared at Thurgood Marshall but I want to change my major to Biology, which from what I hear, is heavily impacted. How would I go about doing so. I am a pretty strong academically, so would I just need to do well in my classes? Thanks!</p>

P.S.S Can anybody give me some specifics about Thurgood Marshall? Pros? Cons?

<p>^I don’t know the details on switching into an impacted major but yes, submit your housing application thing to get on the list. They’ll ask for your preferences later, but if you submit now, you have a better chance of getting what you want. And you’re wrong, the myth about there not being cute guys here was shattered when I arrived. Here’s some info on Marshall.</p>

<p>^Nothing really if I remember correctly. It’s pretty much just a submit button that puts you on the list.</p>

Glad to have you on board. Since I’m also incoming freshman, I don’t really know much other than what I’ve received on these boards and the website. BUT! You know, I’m just glad there are more of us (Marshall kids) around, there are too few on these boards.</p>
<p>To get into Biology you need to complete all the lower division requirements for the major. After, you then apply during specific a specific 2 week period depending on when you complete the pre-reqs, but they need to be completed before the end of your 2nd year (Spring quarter 2nd year counts). They admit based on GPA </p>
<p>additional note: although they say it’s impacted, a ton of people drop Biology creating space for those who want to transfer in, this usually happens after during and after Organic Chemistry haha</p>
