How easy is it to switch majors at Tech?

That’s like me asking you how long it’ll take to walk home from where I am. You’ve got no idea where I am and no idea where I’m trying to go. What major are you trying to switch to/from? It’s going to vary wildly. Transferring into architecture/etc: lol no. Engineering? Tough but doable. English? Probably not as hard.

what about business?

and what is the criteria for getting into a major? Grades? Prerequisites?

I’m a transfer from VCU and it was extremely easy to change majors there, you just had to fill out the form and get the right signatures. I’m going to Tech next fall and I want to change to a business major but I’m confused about the process and how hard it is to get in.

business won’t be too difficult if you have an average GPA~3.0-3.1

EDIT:
All I know is that business is not as competetive as engineering and arch- which are very difficult to get into. But I know many people who have transferred into engineering with a 3.5, so I’d assume business would be substantially easier.

See if this helps: [Restricted Majors | University Registrar | Virginia Tech](http://www.registrar.vt.edu/registration/restricted_majors.php) This would be relevant if you are in University Studies or another Major at VT
