Switching majors

I was just admitted to UCSD as a chemical engineer.. On my application, this was my primary major.. I have decided that my secondary major, bioengineering, would be a better fit for me. Is is possible to change majors if i decide to attend UCSD?

BE is impacted.

read the archives.

i checked the UCSD engineering website and it said the the impacted majors are Bioengineering General and Bioengineering Biotech… I want to transfer into bioengineering: premed

If you read the website, you would also know that it is very easy to change into any non-impacted major, so if you believe that bioengineering premed is not impacted (which seems unlikely that it would be the only version of BioE that isn’t impacted) then you have the answer to your question.

i thought it was unlikely too but the two bioengineering programs that arent impacted are premed and bioinformatics

You would think there would be enoigh overlap of curriculum that they wouldn’t be able to make that work. If it does, go for it but don’t wait too long !
