<p>I have always considered AE and BME. I signed up for AE at GT. However, I have recently become more attracted to BME. Is it possible to change majors before attending the university? I already paid the deposit.</p>
<p>Also, how hard is it to switch once you are a freshman or sophmore.</p>

<p>I would like to know this as well. I initially signed up for physics and now I am thinking of switching to mechanical engineering. How difficult is it to switch in freshman year?</p>
<p>Also, instead of a new thread, could someone comment on how the tech physics undergrad program is? Terms of difficulty, reputation, how well they prepare students, etc. If not a comment, a message would also be appreciated.</p>

<p>Contact admissions and tell them your current major,intended major,and GT ID#.
They will e-mail you and let you know if they’re able to grant the change based on courses taken in high school. It is easy .

<p>^ That’s the right course of action, however I’ll also throw in that once you start at the Institute, you get one “free” switch before your Junior year. That means that you can switch from any major to any other major by just filling out a form.</p>
<p>After you’ve used your “free” switch or after 60 hours, you can still change majors, but you have to request approval from the new college. That’s a pretty easy process as long as you have a decent GPA.</p>
<p>So don’t panic or stress about choosing something today - you get a few years to decide if it’s right for you.</p>
