I applied to UCLA undeclared. I have just finished my freshman year and declared and was accepted into the World Arts and Cultures department, but now I want to try to switch out of the department (into the Art History or Theatre one). Does anyone know if switching out of the Arts and Architecture department is difficult?

Well A &A is a college, not a department. Art History is a department in the College of Letters and Sciences. Theatre is also a college, not a department. It's no problem to switch OUT of a college, the problem is getting in to another one. You'd have to see if you'd be able to get into the College of Letters & Sciences or the the Theater Film College.

switching into the college of Arts and Architecture is hard, and film is even harder. Going into L&S is easier.
