Hello,

I am new to posting, but not new to the forum. I am seeking advice from parents on the following:

My daughter is currently in 9th grade at a small boarding school with a large day population. She is doing very well at the school academically, but socially, not so much. Quite frankly, I don't think it's a case of her fitting into the school, I think that the school doesn't "fit" her. She has a huge personality, is very positive, open, gregarious, and cares about people! The kids here think she is strange, weird, fake. They can't believe she can be so happy. She is not a sullen teen, quite the opposite. She is just a happy person, and I don't want that to change. Much as I hate to go through the arduous task of applying to schools again, I think we must.

How do I convince her though? She says she loves the school, and as I said, doing extremely well, academically. Is it so wrong that I want her to have the best possible experience -- socially as well?

Thank you in advance for your help.
