Switching schools in WUSTL

I applied to the Arts and Sciences college. But I really want to do Biomed eng. can i switch while I am there to the engineering school or biomed school?? thanks

Hi. I am a student at WashU now (former BME, now I'm a MechE). I do believe you can switch schools rather easily (and transfer any scholarships to your new school). However, I suggest making the change early because BME140 (Intro to BME) is only offered in the fall semester).

Thanks for your reply. Also, does WUSTL have an undergrad. BioMed BS/MS program that finishes in 5 years? The BioMed school only opened in 1997, how does its reputation rank among the other top schools?

Thanks

Yes, there is a 5 year Masters program. WashU's BME program is very well respected (1997 is actually not that new compared to other schools. BME is a very new and upincoming field). I do have some major problems with the BME program here (which is the reason I am not a BME major anymore)...but I do love the school and the engineering program in general. You can email me if you want more specific info on the BME program or the school in general.
