Is it bad to keep switching sections/classes after your initial schedule at orientation?
I've made one change to my schedule already but I would like to make another (a different section of the same class to better fit my schedule). Does somebody keep track of all the changes?

Nobody keeps track of changes, you can do what you want.

If you are in engineering, DON'T switch your ENGR 100 or 101 classes. They only open up a certain number of spots for these courses for each orientation. If you drop it, then you won't be able to get another section since they are only open for the current orientation group. You will have to take them in the winter then. This is at least what they told us in the EAC.

I think that goes for any UM student. After orientation, you have the same type of control over your classes that I or anybody else does. That being said, if you drop a class and pick up another, that seat that you gave up is open to the general public. Think carefully before you go ahead and change classes, because space is tight in many classes, and stuff does fill up.
