Switching to BioE

I've done a search on this and different variations of this question has been asked, but not specifically mine...

I got accepted into UCSD undeclared. My biology/chemistry science record is not exceptional. According to the UCSD website, the only way to be majoring in BioE as a freshman is if you are accepted into UCSD as a BioE major. However, does this mean you can possibly switch in as a sophomore or junior? There is no indication on the site that there is a process to do so, but they don't explicitly say that you can't.

So, is it possible at all to switch to a BioE major? An application form or admissions process? (Because I'm sure some people switch out of the major...)

It’s possible to switch into the major, but it’s really difficult. Talk to the counselor once at UCSD.

you can do pre bioe: premed and get in through the pre major process. But then again, that’s not really bioe

im in bioe ; premed.

bio major are impacted too ;p
