Switching to P/NP

Hey guys, i'm a 1st year right now taking 4 classes, one 2-unit class p/np and the others (all 4-unit) letter grade, and i'm considering switching chem1a to p/np. i have a 62% in overall exam grades right now (which carries 100% of the weight), and i was considering pre-med before, but now i'm leaning more toward econ or maybe business, perhaps haas. Should I switch chem to p/np or keep it?? (would haas frown upon me switching to p/np? for econ, since it is a capped major, is it important to have a good grade even if it isn't a prereq?)
Thanks in advance

Your grades for non pre-reqs don’t matter, so switch it.

even though i already have one class p/np?

Yes, the number of classes you have p/np doesn’t matter as long as it isn’t over 33% of your units by the time you graduate.
