Thanks for all the helpful input! What did your daughter enjoy most at Dartmouth? Any classes, programs, profs or activities she especially valued? What has she decided to do post D?

Sophomore summer she took Engeering 3 and she felt it was like the opportunity to catch up with all of the friends that she did not get to see over the year. The class had about 300 people. Professor broke the class into 2 sections. He further broke the class down into groups of 15-20 students so that he could take them out to dinner to get to know them. She loves Lee Witters (Bio 2) and thinks that he is amazing. She said that if she had to do it over again, she would have taken more english classes; she would take a class with Favors in a heart beat and loved her classes with Santa Ana. She would have also done a language study abroad (I never say I told you so).

She loved study abroad; she went at the same time as her friends. They were all based in europe and each weekend they woudl fly to where one of them was based so they could all hang out together (ryan air had a load of $20 flights).

She participated in America reads, North country weekend, she was a big sib and did some work for the Tucker foundation. She enjoyed her time as a UGA.

She did pledge, loved her pledge class & sorority sisters but still managed to maintain close friendships with her non-greek friends. She feels that overall she has the most amazing group of friends (they really do make connections that last a life time). She had a wonderful freshman roommate who is one of her best friends (she felt they came full circle when they were both tapped for the same senior society).

There were so many tears at graduation as many of them had to come to the realization that they would not be back in Hanover together. Last night she went to a going away party for one of her best friends who is also her big sister who is leaving next week for the London School of Economics. They are already making plans to go to homecoming (she said it will feel so different coming back as an alum). She went of the Hanover, never waivering about her decision and had no regrets about attending Dartmouth.

She is currently working and is applying to law school this cycle so the admissions process is never over.

Thank you, the post has been passed on. Your daughter must have done very well to be tapped for a senior society from what I here so I expect we'll here great news about her law school acceptances shortly!
