Syracuse Acceptances

That’s exactly what my daughter’s waitlist letter said… She really wants to go there. Any advice on how to get off the waitlist for Syracuse?

All you can do is send an email telling them of your interest but there is nothing else you can really do. I have a friend in the Admissions dept and she can’t even help me she said :(

Well good news! My D got off the MT waitlist today for Cuse!! Woo hoo!

Congrats Lulu63…how very exciting!

My D loved the program and auditioned last year but was not accepted or waitlisted. Hope it all works out for your D…a happy, happy day for you :)

Thanks, sorry it didn’t work out. My D’s fave was Elon in the beginning but you end up hopefully where you are suppose to be!

My D was accepted at several other schools and ended up at UC-Irvine this year and likes it fairly well. She really wanted to be further away from home (we live very very close)–but has met some amazing friends and is doing well at UCI so it is growing on her.

In a few short months your D will be starting her new adventure…life will be very different for you too mom. Congrats again!

Congratulations to all who have been accepted to Syracuse! My daughter graduated from the BFA MT program last year, and I can guarantee that you will get a wonderful education there.

I went to NYC yesterday to see this year’s SU Senior Showcase – I have seen the last 3, and this was definitely the best! Well-organized, fast-moving, and showcasing all of the students very well. Many agents were in attendance and I am sure the kids will get good results. I give the new Dept. head, Ralph Zito, full credit for making what was already a good showcase an outstanding one. I think he’s going to be a wonderful addition to the theater department.

CalMTmom- how funny is that. My D ended up very close to home as well and wanted to go away. I am happy that I will get to see her perform though!

@ Onstage, I am so happy to hear that the showcase was amazing and that you were thrilled with Ralph Zito. My D starts there this fall as an MT student and is so excited. We are really thrilled that she has this option and is meeting kids as we speak. She is going to see SU’s production of A New Brain this weekend and can’t wait to meet the upperclassmen(women). Best of luck to your daughter in securing work!!

Thanks, Lulu – my D graduated last year, and has been working steadily since, as have many of her classmates.
