Reflection
•Strengths: Leadership, Experience (Mainly related to my intended major), ambition, Recommendations’, and Extracurricular
•Weaknesses: GPA
•I know my grades aren’t the best, but the reason for that is because I was always busy with school, and extracurricular activities. And I'm not using that as an excuse at all, but i think admissions will take that into consideration. And it wasn’t like I joined every club available just to be in them, I was an active member of each one, and I have leadership roles in many of them. So do you think that I have a chance at all? Also I’m great at interviews so hopefully I nail that too.

First, what is your weighted GPA?

You may have a better chance than you think because Syracuse is listed on the U.S. News A+ Options for B Students List.

[A+ Options for B Students | Top National Universities | US News Best Colleges](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities/a-plus)

The Admissions Office seems to use a very holistic admissions process which should serve you well with your very strong extracurriculars and work experience. Make sure to state you were the only student chosen for recognition since it will set you apart from the crowd.

As a School Counselor, I have to ask, what lab sciences have you taken? I see Chemistry for your senior year. You should try to take a lab science in addition to Bio and Chem, such as Marine Biology, Astronomy, Forensics, or Ecology/Environmental Science, the third may not be a lab science.

Level 4 of a Foreign Language, 3-4 Lab Sciences, and Precalculus (good choice) indicate a rigorous academic curriculum and not need be Honors/AP. It is more important that you take them.

Take what you can, but DO NOT take courses you will not like since it could affect your motivation resulting in lower grades.

Do what you can and best of luck!

We don’t have weighted gpa’s…

Agree with surfer beach, except for one thing. Sports management is a very competitive program at SU; make sure you apply with a second and third choice on the SU app; I don’t hink the sports management major, though, accepts internal transfers (unlike most other programs)
