Other Real Extracurriculars:
Playing guitar
about 20 hours community service at a baseball camp
summer job at an organic foods market

Looking to go into the Nutrition/Exercise Sciences program. I plan on doing Cross Country and Track in college, and have already visited with and contacted the coaches at 'CUSE. I think the only thing I have to work on is getting my GPA up to about a 3.2 UW. Any other suggestions about fitting in better at Syracuse University? Thanks.

OUCH!!! those stats are horrible for getting into SU- I think you should be aiming a little lower. Are there any good community colleges in your area???

I think the only thing that would hold you back from getting into Syracuse is your GPA, which is pretty weak. If you can bring that up I think you have a decent chance. Good luck to you!

I will end up being a recruited athlete. I hope I can get a partial scholarship, and I have talked to the coach in person while visiting the university on a non-official visit. I am also in contact via Email with the coaching staff.

I'm taking senior year kind of easy, doing 2 AP's, 1 honors, and 3 electives. Will that effect my chances? Thanks.

Yeah, running is going to play a big part in college, and I'm hoping my performances can help me out a bit with admissions. I'm in the top 7 of the team right now, but my outdoor track season was kind of shot after a lon lingering injury. I'm definitley going to shoot back into the top 5 for cross country.
