I was accepted to CAS with no merit as well, 4.45 GPA, 8 APs, and pretty good ECs/service
Ty so much, that eases my mind a little. D got into CAS for neuroscience and got the discovery Italy program & a grant to offset the cost. She’s very excited and I just hope we can figure it out financially. WV has very few OOS scholarships available to high school students bc they try to force everyone with good grades to go to WVU or Marshall as the youth are all bailing bc it wont change with the times. (My Ds counselor tried every year to convince her not to even apply OOS. Meanwhile shes been accepted at Ohio state; UCD & UCSD, & Syracuse; still have a few more schools out)

@Teenybellesmom we got a financial aid letter - subsidized and unsubsidized loans for $1000 / term and workstudy $1400 and grant. CSS calculator was very different.
This is her top school. Really disappointed.

I think earlier there was something said on their instagram (sorry i dont have one so idk what was said exactly) but basically that decisions would continue to come out for the next few weeks
isnt it late march already?
I don’t want to take away your joy after you all have worked so hard and I totally understand that everyone is excited to get into Syracuse but after the acceptance Euphoria wears off and you now realize you have to pay Between 55,000to 77,000 a year for an undergrad degree it’s going to hurt.

Accepted (in state) last night at 5:23 EST to Whitman! Stats:
ACT: 27
GPA: something close to a 4.0
Average: 98
Class rank: 16 out of 124
APs: Calc, U.S. history, Gov and Politics, plus lots of college courses like statistics, business, and lots of English to name a few
Daughter waiting to hear from VPA for design. Disappointed we didn’t hear yesterday. Didn’t see any other VPA design acceptances here yesterday either so still somewhat hopeful. Maybe takes longer bc of portfolios, etc?

Same. I haven’t seen anyone post on any sites yet that they were accepted for art/design. Daughter applied for art so hoping it’s just taking them longer due to the portfolios.
