Same! Me! Good luck tomorrow!
Not sure if this helps, but son received his letter last Friday and still has a non-linked FA!
You too!!!
Does anyone know when Financial Aid is posted? Got in last week with a small merit scholarship but no Financial Aid yet. I hope this does not mean I am not getting any.
Missing info regarding the CSS and the FAFSA? Just wondering because I didn’t receive an email. Thanks!
Same for my daughter! Good luck tomorrow!
Just curious for those that have not received letters yet what your stats are? SU top choice for my son but his stats are good, not excellent. He applied Biology and has been so anxious past few weeks. I’m wondering if waitlisted if anyone knows how that works as well? Good luck to those still waiting
I haven’t heard back yet, but syracuse was ranked as one of my safeties and everyone from my school who applied, with the exception of one person with a 2.1 gpa, was accepted in the past 3 years
I also applied for the dual degree between a&s/business so that could be why its taking longer
edit for stats: my school is weird abt gpa and doesnt calculate it so I dont have that, but I’m pretty sure my UW is in the 3s and my W is in the 4s, I took a class for college credit at Tulane and got an A so I have a 4.0 gpa there, I have a 35 ACT, my ECs are the highlight of my app and I have ~700 service hours and some excellent internships on top of that. I thought my interview with an AO went rlly well and my essay is probably average (as are 95% of essays)
4.0 weighted
6 AP’s (submitted a 5 and a 4 in AP lang and AP World)
not a ton of EC’s but a few decent ones (namely Debate team and Soccer for all 4 yrs of HS)
Pretty good essays
High demonstrated interest (interview, virtual sessions, tours, etc)
Did not submit SAT or ACT (which I’m now regretting)
I have a 3.82 weighted, very good extra circulars and community service, a pretty good essay, what are my chances? I applied to Whitman
If you demonstrated interest in Whitman or in Syracuse in general, id say you have a decent shot at being admitted. Then again, I’m not entirely sure as I was expecting to receive an email on Friday (which I didn’t). It could go either way. This year we’re having to compete with a lot of kids from the class of 2020, as well as a drastic nationwide increase in applications.
4.1 W
4 APs
2 Varsity sports, 3 honor societies, multiple clubs and volunteering
No SAT scores
Good Essays
Straight As senior year for mid-year report
US Citizen living in Ireland
4.4 W GPA ( I think)
No SAT scores.
Did exams equal to the IB, took 7 subjects at Higher level, got a 6 in chemistry + physics and a 7 in maths
Took all subjects throughout school at higher level.
Decent ECs with leadership positions, Job + unpaid work experience.
Excellent personal essay ( so I’ve been told by anyone that read it)
Applying as a Chem major
Thank you! Good luck to you as well @Bloom30 @ngregoire17 !!
Good luck!
I have the same.
D still waiting -
3.85 weighted (school doesn’t report UW; top public school)
4 APs (2 5’s; 2 in progress)
1320 SAT (700V/620M)
Average ECs
Toured in person pre-Covid; interviewed
Naviance says it should be a yes, but who knows in this crazy year? Also need money to make it work so we’re kind of moving on without even knowing the decision!
What major did your Daughter apply for ?
S21 may not be moving on quite yet, but this mom is. I’m tired that this has dragged on. I may need to limit D25 to only EA schools. LOL!
I think you’re on the Miami Oh thread too? That’s moved to one of my D’s top picks now since we visited in February. I wish we could get out there again before decisions, but doubt that will happen!
@sevenelevan she applied for psychology. I said upthread, my friend’s kid was accepted to Syracuse last week for psych, but didn’t get accepted to UConn’s main campus, and my daughter did. You’d think that means my D will get in, but I’ve stopped trying to figure this process out!
