Miami is a housing disaster so if she wants to go I hope you put a deposit.
I would take out the part about being rejected. And maybe change âridiculousâ to âdishearteningâ. And add: I know the release is supposed to be random but I am discouraged by it and ask that you please tell me the status of my application so I can consider other options if Syracuse will not be an option.
My daughter was accepted to Falk/sport analytics. Anyone have a daughter in this program? She is going to admitted student day on April 18th.
I am as well!!
Agree! Being a BTDT parent of Class of 2025, I did not see this amount of anger towards how Syracuse rolls out decisions in last years Syracuse threads. There was much more acceptance on Syracuse Decision process. It is well known how Syracuse handles decisions and info is provided on their website, it is no secret. The waiting period is hard, takes a lot of patience and many other colleges still have not released decisions.
FYI for some parents that are still waiting: a kid on TikTok got into Syracuse with a 2.9 uw gpa
@Silver77 my daughter is Falk for Sports Management. She will also go on the 18th. Maybe they will have a chance to meet!
Full pay athlete
That is strange that ED II applications havenât heard yet. My dd applied ED II and received an acceptance email 2 weeks later. We were so relieved the wait was over so fast. Good luck and keep the faith!
Good for them. Some kids struggle and excel in other ways and can be very successful. We donât really know their journey or if itâs even true.
My daughter applied to the College of Education. Still waiting on an admission decision.
My ED son was notified that he was being deferred to regular decision pool. I guess that means exactly what it saysâŠregular decision rules.
Sport analytics? Do you happen to be going to admitted student day on April 18th? Would love for my daughter to connect with another girl in the program.
Any idea how many students typically enroll in Sport Management and Sport Analytics each year? And is the capstone internship opportunity for seniors just for sport management majors, and not sport analytics majors?
Thank you for posting this.
This has always been their process. It seems like itâs ok for the Ivies, Vanderbilt, etc. Donât S***t on Syracuse. This is how it is. Your student applied, you or they paid the application fee and then everyone waits. If you werenât up for waiting and giving the process the time it is owed, then sounds like a rolling decision school was what you were best suited for. Itâll come when it comes. You will like the results or you wonât. Would you rather it come by snail mail? Seems like it.
No.
People are impatient.
Itâs the world we now live in.
Many apply to various schools thinking it was a safety or a sure match and canât fathom why they are still waiting.
This is a private school. It builds its class differently than a public university and takes a huge chunk from the ED pool. The can take their time with the RD pool because these applicants are not all in. Syracuse is fine with them moving on. If you wanted them first youâd have applied ED and if you applied RD and are hedging your bets on merit $ thatâs great and if you are one of the RD applicants they really want you will see that in your offer letter. Just give them time to go through their process.
Has anyone heard back and been told they were waitlisted? Last year many who heard towards the end, landed in that pool and at that time you are asked if you even want to be considered on a waitlist or you can simply pass.
Because everything on TikTok is 100% accurate.
lolololol
Love the school that loves you back. This doesnât sound like a match made in heaven.
You are getting so worked up over one school itâs as if you want this one the most or something. Seems like your child has plenty of offers to pick from and she will get her answer from here when they are ready to give it to her.
How much interest did your child demonstrate? What major did she apply to? The Chancellor is never going to see that email.
But this isnât how the Ivies do it it. Everyone finds out on the same day.
But not everyone is waiting. Lots of kids found out last week and the week before. Only some kids are waiting.
We were not aware until this month that Syracuse has rolling decisions. Did we miss that detail on the webpage? Obviously, yes. This is our first time through the admissions process, and we had no idea that this would happen.
Rolling Decision is very different than what you are referencing as far as how Syracuse releases decisions. Rolling is read, then decided and then released. There is zero holding of the decision and schools that are Rolling Decision do not have a closed date of taking applications.
Pitt is a prime example of a school that offers rolling admissions.
