When did she send in her Pitt application?
I was told be a current student that they over accepted last year. That being said, there could be a lot of movement on the waitlist if those that were accepted donāt commit. Iām going to say they are building a list of students they are ready to offer admission to should those accepted, pass.

Thoughts: Well, Iām happy to hear good news from Syracuse. However, they gave me very little aid (as expected). I have higher merit + need-based scholarships from other schools (all the other schools I listed gave me a much larger package, except for StorrsāIām in-state).
I kind of wish they released waitlists/rejections firstā¦sure, I got accepted. But the way that they released decisions? It just seems a tadā¦cruel, maybe.

9/30!!! It was the first one she submitted because she wanted to go there so badly.
Iām Waitlisted but even if Id been accepted, the Financial Aid would be a big consideration. A few of my schools have offered me VERY high Merit/Scholarships (UNE, Rhodes,Stonehill, USD). However, Syracuse was high on my list, so if it had been a reasonable offer it would have been a top contender. Im trying to sort through my list, get to as many Accepted Student days, narrow the list, and hopefully that will include some with good financial packages (it will bcuz Im in state UMASS Amherst, and that bill is doable and will make final list).

As far as the waitlist, what school are you referring to? Pitt or Syracuse?
Skidmore is a beautiful campus and Saratoga Springs is a wonderful community. Great choices all around. Congrats.,

Thanks, my son is excited to visit Skidmore in April! Going to a few accepted students weekends through the month. Happy heāll be on the receiving end of school welcomes after the past few weeks of WL and some rejections. Good luck to you as well!
Waitlisted. 4.0 unweighted, 1440 SAT, numerous APs, several state and one national academic award. Numerous leadership roles. Lots of involvement in community and at school. Really surprised to be waitlistedā¦visited and showed interest. Who knows.

My daughter was also waitlisted, 1470 SAT and 4.0 UW GPA, 11 APs, lots of leadership, varsity athlete.

My son was waitlisted as well. He has a 3.8 unweighted GPA, 1360 SAT, six AP classes plus many honors classes, NHS, NBHS, state medalist in his sport, volunteer work, captain of several teams and many awards.
That is awesome. Yeah donāt hold your breath for Syracuse at this point. But, ya never know.;

Seeing all these waitlists were extremely surprising to me. I was accepted into Falk Sports Management with a 3.288 UW GPA. 4 year varsity athlete, started a commentary club where we broadcast our sports games, 200 hours of community service. Was very lucky I guess.
