Anyone familiar with SU's dual degree program between their iSchool and Whitman School if Management? The dual degree would be in Information Management & Technology and your chosen business major such as finance, accounting, marketing etc. Stats for grads such as employment or grad school look great as does the average starting salaries and range.

Newhouse, Architecture, Whitman, and the iSchool are some of the best undergraduate programs.The iSchool at SU is one of the best nationally. Whitman is solid across the board an top notch with entrepreneurship and retail management. Below are two links from 2011 about SU grads at NYC hedge funds.

DD is headed to Whitman and Newhouse. I work with some SU grads and they all are excellent.
Good luck to you.

So your daughter is doing the Whitman and Newhouse dual major? When she applied, is there a way to indicate that?

rick44…Yes. DD applied ED and listed three choices. Her first choice was the dual program in Whitman and Newhouse. She also was able to request her majors in each college. One can list undecided in each school as well since once admitted to either Whitman or Newhouse it is easy to move into the major later as first year courses are core business, communications, and liberal arts requirements. ED is only binding if a student is accepted into his/her first choice program(s). All the program choices are available on the Common Application as Syracuse has a supplement as well as supplemental essay section. Good luck to you.

I’m not really sure how you can call Whitman among “some of the best.”
This list, for example: <a href=“Bloomberg - Are you a robot?”>Bloomberg - Are you a robot?;
puts Whitman at 55th, behind a bunch of schools I’ve never even heard of and behind many schools that charge a fraction of the tuition.
