Syracuse Early Decision for Fall 2022 Admission

Hello everyone, I am a current freshman at Syracuse wishing you the best of luck! I applied ED last year - Syracuse only releases decisions on Fridays in the afternoon in waves each week. Last year, the first wave was this weekend, so I would be hopeful about this weekend.

I applied to Newhouse
4.3W GPA
1370 SAT (660R and 710M)
IB diploma program- HL Literature, HL Psychology, HL History, SL Math Interpretations and Applications, SL Spanish, SL Environmental, IB TOK
2 APs Sophomore year- Gov and Lang
1 AP Junior year- Literature
1 AP Senior year- 2D art
Only submitted 5 on AP Lang and 3 on AP Lit
Decent ECs
I go to a magnet school and I am in the photography program
Good Essays
I interviewed and toured the school

Yes, I don’t know about previous years but pretty much all Early Decision for the freshman class was released on Fridays.

Oh well. Everything is on god now.

If you are accepted and submitted FAFSA and CSS Profile in October, do you get enough Financial Aid to attend the school?

I did not apply for FAFSA/CSS but I know a lot of people that did, and those people did get a lot of money from them from Early Decision. Syracuse also gives out a good amount of financial/merit aid with acceptance letters.

I see. Do they still give you merits even if you have low gpa?

because I heard only people with High GPAs got merits but not people with low GPA.

Every student is automatically considered for merit aid with their acceptance, however it does depend on how you did academically throughout high school. You can still get financial aid, however!
