I’ve seen people with SATs much lower that yours get in with a 3.6

And you have a 1600 (CR+M) which is pretty much a perfect score because no one gives a **** about writing.

@xobrianna21 I’m sure you’re fine! Plus, we’re applying to two different schools anyways.

I wish we could all just get in and find out tomorrow or something haha

I know I wish we could find out ASAP. Finding out about ED is so scary because everyone wants this so much.

@winterfell123 YOU ARE IN. That is an incredible SAT score. I would not worry at all if I were you

Hey, what do you all think of my chances?

Applying to CAS

3.11 GPA UW
SAT: 1890 Comp, 660 CR, 590 M, 640 W
SAT Subject: 670 Lit, 760 US History

7 APs
Most classes were honors

4 years of Spanish
Ethnicity: Mexican-American (English is my first language).

ECs: JV football 9th, 10th
MCJROTC 11th
UIL Academic competition 10th, 11th

AP Scholar with Distinction

Senior grades are all As. One B in AP Govt.

I just wish we had a set date! A bunch of my friends are hearing back from Duke on the 15th and I wish We just had a date for us to anticipate

@xCossack what’s your first choice program?

I’m applying undecided to CAS.

@xCossack

Your chances look pretty good, especially since you have high test scores compared to the Syracuse average and that U.S. History subject test score is great. ECs might be a little worrying, did you not participate in any clubs/community service? Those could bump you up a little, I think.

No… Key club and DECA weren’t really my thing. I was invited to NHS, but I declined.

To everyone who is worried about MySlice saying they’re missing stuff, I called last week because I had that problem and they said they are still processing stuff. Since then my “Missing Items” have gone away so I am sure yours will too!

Thanks for the interview comments, I will be having mine this coming week! Hopefully it doesn’t push back their decision…I’ve been waiting four years for the day.

Good luck!!

@xcossack I think you’re in without doubt. Syracuse’s acceptance rate is 52% RD however for ED it boosts up to 77%, I’m 99.9% positive you will be accepted

For those of you applying for financial aid, have you turned everything in already?

Yep. I turned in the CSS and I faxed them my family’s 2012 tax forms.

@dreamingofcuse96 i hope so, I’m keeping my fingers crossed! I’m just worried because everyone keeps saying Newhouse is ridiculously hard to get into.

@xobrianna21 I thought FAFSA didn’t come out until January? Does anyone know when the 2012 tax return due?

@xobrianna21 wait I thought we apply for financial aid after we get accepted? No?

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

[Financial Aid](http://syr.edu/financialaid/datesanddeadlines/index.html)

Here’s a link to their page with deadlines.

@winterfell123 @dreamingofcuse96 for ED applicants, I know CSS is forsure needed, maybe FAFSA, but it says on CSS website it was due December 1st. If you don’t have everything in does your package information just get delayed? I don’t know if you guys know

Uh crap I did not hand anything in for that
