Anyone transferring to SU for next fall semester, I will be a sophomore and was just wondering if anyone else was, get in touch if you are.

Hello! I am transfering to SU on fall 2010, as a junior!

Really? I plan to as well, where are you from?

i am applying to transfer into cuse for the fall. what GPA did you have?

I currently have a 4.0 but not sure after finals, what about you?

i’m planning on applying too. hmm, app due on new year’s day

Is it? I am not sure I applied last year and was waitlisted, I only have to send in a new transcript and they well reactivate my application, which saves a lot of time.

sweeet i didn’t know universities did that

Yeah usually if you have applied within the last year they do. Are you a transfer?

yeah, junior coming from a california community college

well, applying as a junior**

really? I would be a sophomore but I’m from southern california, what cc you attend?

taking classes from foothill and de anza. actually working on my su app right now haha. how about you? do you know when they make decisions for transfer apps?

I go to college of the desert, in palm desert. Um not entirely sure I believe it is in June though, around there. How many units will you have by the end of the spring semester?

wow, june’s pretty loooong. i’ll have at least 110 qtr/70 sem. so why the interest in syracuse and what happened with being waitlisted?

Yeah it sucks some of my other schools are even after that which totally blows but nothing can do.
Not entirely sure really wanted to get in last year but wasn’t sure if i was ready for the move across country and all, but then was waitlisted and didn’t get a final decision until late August which was totally irrelevant at that point because I was just finishing a summer class. So still wanna go though its nationally ranked great programs, a little cold (to say the least) but I would not mind at all attending.
What about you?
Also whats your major, gender, gpa, and extracurriculars? And I’m assuming your applying for Fall?

jeez, august? i’m also applying to usc and i’ve been told that if they give you a spring grade request, you won’t hear back until july and i thought that was long

initially, i wanted to major in film (television scriptwriting) but in the past year i discovered that i’d much rather become a teacher haha. syracuse would’ve been good for media-related aspirations but i’m gonna follow through and apply just to see what happens. the only difference now is i’ll be applying to the school of education which’s good since i assume the teaching program’s less competitive anyway. i’ve lived in northern california my whole life so at this point, i don’t know how serious i am about making the transition if i were to be accepted.

major: social studies education
gender: f (idk how that’s relevant haha)
gpa: ~3.45 but hopefully 3.6 after fall qtr
extracurrics: prez of a club that tutors kids weekly, a few other misc. clubs, awarded for a short article in school newspaper’s october issue, working as page in school’s library, girl scouts (not rly active anymore)
yep, fall

you? are you applying anywhere else?

haha um idk either haha but since I’ve joined this site ppl always ask gender ha. Have you finished the USC app?
I will have 40 semester units after the spring semester, GPA is currently 4.0 but has the possibility to change with my finals next week. Major right now is business either accounting or finance. For USC it’d be business administration with an emphasis in finance.
Yeah right now I plan to apply to USC, SU, BC, NYU, WFU (Wake Forest, SCU (Santa Clara),NEU (NorthEastern University) Villanova, Boston University, George Washington University and Notre Dame as a political Science major, what schools are you applying too?

haven’t begun usc app yet. is bc boston college? my favorite author went to wake forest and scu is like 15 minutes from my house. i’m not familiar with northeastern, villanova, george washington u, or notre dame but it’s nice to see a californian applying to out of state schools. it’s always UC this and UC that even though i did apply to four UCs =X

submitted sdsu, sfsu, cal, ucla, ucsd, ucsc
intended usc, nyu, su
possibly boston u, scu

quite a list between us

Yes BC is boston College, yeah all those schools are ranked well for my particular major and i figure college is a time to go out of your comfort zone and experience new things and meet new ppl, you know? Northeastern is in boston villanova is in philly gwu is in DC and notre dame is in Indiana but a great school.
yeah I would say so.
I was gonna apply to ucla cal and ucsb need 60 semester units and I wont have that since I am trying to transfer as a sophomore so I loose but oh well.
