how’re you doing on personal statements for those 11 actually, no you said all you need to do for su is send in your transcript so… 10 schools? nice even amount. i assume a lot of them are being doing through common app so you just have to do individually do the supplementary parts right? well even supplementary q’s are a ***** :(

Oh yeah they suck, Villanova and Notre Dame haven’t yet released theirs, so gotta wait. Yeah doing them all on Common app except for USC. They are coming around haha, majority are pretty straight forward I’m basically done with them all except a few, WFU has some intense and pretty stupid ones to be honest, about how the arts have changed my life and what makes me mad adn what excites me, pretty random but not really taking those too serious

which are your top three schools?

mine are
- nyu
- usc
- ucla

but syracuse is koo too :)

great question, true answer no clue. This is a maybe list ahah
- USC
2)NYU
3)Villanova

hey su doesn’t require letters of recc right?

I’m not sure, they have mine on file since I applied last year, I’m not sure if they do for transfers. check their website or collegeboard

i checked common app and nope, not required. mmm all these new york schools i’m tempted to apply to cornell but an ivy is too far of a reach

Yeah I was going to apply to Cornell but their essays really suck so baddd not what I really want to do. They welcome over 700 transfers every fall. Acceptance is still like 20 percentage though.

don’t let this thread die man! i need a means of communication with you cos i’m gonna need your help with apps at some point

no worries you will always be able to find it, or you could pm me i think as well

I’m thinking about applying to Syracuse for the fall and I was wondering if Syracuse gives good financial aid to transfer students?

I am not entirely sure. If you fill out the fasa I am sure they do and I am sure they award based on merit as well

hey im at a comm. coll. planning on applying for fall’10 w/ 3.6gpa…i hope applying after the deadline wont hurt my chances too bad…their transfer deadline is ridiculously early most schools extend till april for transfers…im gonna get the app done before end of january for sure.

The deadline has already passed?
That is odd

thats not there deadline… trust me last year in august they were still taking transfers for fall 2009 ,i think jan. 1 is priority…but i think applying in march should be fine.

I’m applying now as a transfer and they need my SAT scores (which I will still take on May 1) so they will probably review my application mid-may.

I’m applying for a program in Newhouse and I’m an international student from the Philippines. Think I have a chance still?

A lot of RD and transfer applicants seem to have gotten their decisions. I’m wondering if Syracuse sends out their decisions altogether, or schoolwise, or applicant categorywise or I dno which way.
Also does Syracuse send you an online rejection email? you know…so i dont have a heart attack when i get the letter?
I’m not especially expecting to get rejected, but i’m an international transfer applicant to their architecture school, which is goddamned competetive.
My Stats:
SAT I- 2030
HS GPA uw- 4.00
TOEFL ibt- 116/120
1st yr College GPA- 3.79 (although my rank is like 35/100)
ECs- A LOT and a lot and a lot u dont even want me to start.
Sports- A lot of the regular stuff but i’m a national level mountaineer and a licensed Scubadiver.
portfolio- not the awesomest thing you’ll see but it’s good enough, and i put in a lot of effort.

so what tips the balance? where do i stand? and ugh my mum has a bad habit of opening my mail so i don’t want my letter to be seen by her first!

jitteryyyyyyy :s

I applied RD as a junior Transfer and i haven’t heard anything yet. It’s quite annoying.

any fall transfer decisions yet?
?
??
???

Nothing -_-
