Which we didn’t receive…
Don’t know if they are sending them in waves or what…I know of 4 kids who did get acceptances to the MT dept. yesterday… 3 girls, 1 boy.

Syracuse usually sends them out in waves – don’t give up yet!

I had a student get an email of an acceptance for the BFA in Acting at Syracuse yesterday (which is what he was trying for). But I agree with onstage that in past years, they sent them in waves and not all at one time. Each wave had both acceptances and rejections in it. So, if they continue to notify as they have in the recent past, I would not give up yet! It ain’t over!

i got my syracuse acceptance for the musical theatre BFA yesterday! (i’m a girl)

mtmuffin…Congrats!! When did you audition?

Does anyone know how many freshman students Syracuse accepts in MT?

I know of one girl who found out about an hour ago.

Acting Daughter: in the past SU has accepted about 40 MT students to get a yield of about 25. Rumor has it that they are trying to reduce the size of the class to 20; I don’t know if that’s actually true, but if it is that means they would probably accept fewer students.

My daughter is a Freshman in the current Syracuse MT class. There are 19 students in her class, 10 guys, 9 girls. Hope that helps.

i auditioned in the beginning of january in LA. im extreeeemely excited its one of my top choices!

If you are rejected - do you get an email as well. I am anticipating rejection as I had a major mix up on the day of my audition.

Does anyone know if there is going to be another wave or was this it?

mollysmom…have you had no word at all? Well, they say no news is good news and all…
My D received a rejection email around 4:30 yesterday. She was neither surprised or upset…she had already signed on to another school before even knowing the decision.

D received an acceptance for the BFA MT program yesterday via email. We were pleasantly surprised since we assumed all acceptances had already gone out, but perhaps this was the “second wave.” D auditioned in Chicago. Good luck to those still waiting to hear.

I still have heard absolutely nothing!

We have also heard nothing! D auditioned at NYC on Jan 2

mollysmom & theatrenerd10…there has to be another wave of decisions coming, my daughter auditioned at the end of Jan and hasn’t heard a word either way.

i’m in the same boat. i auditioned Jan 16, havent heard anything. :/

In the past there have been 3 waves from Syracuse – I don’t know if that’s the case this year, but don’t give up yet!

so do you guys think there will be yet another wave or decisions? or is it like, if you dont hear back, just assume it’s a no? Haha. :-/
