I have seen threads from previous years that there are three waves but I don’t know if they are doing that this year. Many people have heard from Syracuse MT but not all so it is possible.

Well if we hear via email regardless of if we got in or not (somone posted an emailed rejection) then there must be a third wave!

We are also patiently waiting for a reply! No emails as of yet, auditioned in Chicago in Jan.

We are also still waiting. Although maybe not so patiently…Auditioned on campus on 1/22. It seems that the month of April will be almost as stressful as the months of auditions. Once all of your decision letters are in you need to ask more questions, compare, contrast, and do campus visits - before making a decision on May1!

it seems like all of us who havent heard back auditioned in January… i wonder if that means something haha

I hope that dosn’t mean that there are not any spots left open for the Jan. auditioners!

I believe most if not all Syracuse auditions were in january except for ED. Not to worry–they wait until all audtions are over to make their decisions so you still have a chance–crossing fingers for you, it is a great school.

Has anyone possibly called the Syracuse admissions office and asked them what might be going on with the fact that lots of people haven’t heard back, even though the apparent “last wave” of decisions have been emailed? Would it be rude or pushy if I did? Just to make sure?

They usually send out their emails on Friday; if you haven’t heard from them by the end of the week, try calling.

I called the admissions office Monday and was told that they send out decisions in batches and each batch has acceptances and rejections in it. So not having heard so far is not an automatic rejection. They told me my D’s file had just gone to committee and she should hear within a week to a week and 1/2. Based on the number of people that have been accepted so far, I don’t know what the chances are of hearing good news at this point but hopefully we won’t have to wait too much longer. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Since many haven’t heard from Syracuse (on themain SU thread as well) there is a third wave. I also heard they email on Fridays so this should be it.

I got my acceptance in an email a couple weeks ago! An hour later I also received a link to my financial aid package, and then about week later I received hard copies of the acceptance and aid offer in the mail.

I know there have already been 3 waves because I know of others who were accepted in the weeks before and after I got my news. I hope they are sending out more acceptances in a 4th wave! Good luck everyone!

I’m still waiting to hear back from them, although my chances of gettin in are very slim because I auditioned by video. Anyways, I still want to know.

I posted this on the theatre drama forum, but my D got waitlisted yesterday for BFA acting program. Would appreciate if anyone had any information on this waitlist. Thanks!

My D also got waitlisted. I don’t know how many people they typically put on the waiting list. I think you won’t hear until May 15 if they have a spot. MY D has a couple of other choices so we are not really considering it. Good luck to your D- hope it works out for her! We really liked the theatre program. The students seemed happy and the teachers seemed nurturing. My D was less enthused with the school as a whole.

have any rejection emails been sent out? or has it been all waitlist and acceptances so far? if you got a rejection, when did you audition?

bwaybank123…my D got a rejection email on 3/19. She auditioned October 16th. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to their process…
