Syracuse or Lehigh for accounting need to make decision by tomorrow!

im going to hear back from lehigh tomorrow but im going to ask this now anyways lol. Where should i go (without considering financial aid or anything like that)
just based on the school reputation and academic quality
thanks again!

i know people love looking at us news rankings, but rankings arent everything
(to those of you who will say to choose lehigh because its 35 and syracuse is 53)

bump…

bump:…

If just based on rep and academic quality choose Lehigh, I think that both are better than Syracuse’s. This coming from a Syracuse '13. (I actually applied ED2 to Lehigh tho, didn’t get in… =( ) Oh well, the 60:40 male to female ratio, the endless stairs, and the city of Bethlehem are certainly things I can live without. Also, keep in mind that Syracuse is more than twice as big with large uni. resources which I found out I actually like more than Lehigh’s smaller size and the more personal feel you get with that. To each his own tho, good luck!

thanks appreciate it

For business generally, Business Week ranks Lehigh 13th (I think) and Syracuse 49th; Lehigh’s ranking is mostly on the strength of its accounting program, and heavy recruitment upon graduation.

However, the flipside is that, in accounting, it really doesn’t matter where you go to school too much, as the material is fairly standardized. So you might decide to choose on the basis of where you’ll feel happiest for the next four years.

Lehigh!!!

Personally, I would enjoy the big school feel of Syracuse more, plus it has better sports.

Lehigh has better academics.

Syracuse has better sports/atmosphere. (COMPLETELY OVERRATED ACADEMICALLY

Lehigh Avg. Acc ACT (30) vs. Syracuse Avg. Acc ACT (27)

David: Given that both schools have an accounting recruiting base from the same geographic area, this is pretty easy to determine which school is a better ACADEMIC fit; just call and find out % of accounting students with jobs at graduation; economic climate not really relevant in your decision…

In terms of SOCIAL fit, that’s definitely for you to decide…In many ways, SU demographically is like a larger Lehigh in terms of greek life, etc…but better for sports…
