Syracuse or Penn State??

After a long list of colleges, I have finally narrowed my decision down to Penn State or Syracuse University. I cannot decide which one I want to go to more! I was hoping to get some advice or recommendations from people. Please share your thoughts!

Both great schools which I’m also looking into. I would say base your decision on which program is stronger for your major, who gives you more money, and which campus style you like better. Penn St is in a much more rural area and Syracuse is in a mid sized city, both get tons of snow.

I am actually an undecided major. Syracuse gave me some money which brings it down to about the same price as Penn State

That’s tough decision. I guess take a visit of both campuses and see what the pros and cons are for each. See what extracurriculars each has and what interests you. Check out the dorms and see which ones you like. The littlest details can help your college life.

im in the same boat

between pennstate university park or syracuse

-theyre costing me the same, im from nj
-major in psych/communication disorders
-syracuse is 5.5 hours away and pennstate is 4.5 hours
-plan on studying abroad in either barcelona or israel
-plan on doing research so being a number is scary at such big schools

any advice?

Syracuse is half the size of Penn state, with 13K undergrads, that is not so big if size is a big concern.

Syracuse: ENROLLMENT The total University enrollment for fall 2010 is 20,407. Full-time undergraduate enrollment, 13,504

Penn state: he largest campus in the Penn State system, University Park is home to a diverse population of about 35,000 undergraduate students.

GO SYRACUSE!!! the alumni network sets it apart from PSU. you’ll get ridiculous opportunities from SU. the interships are incredible and youre almost guaranteed a job after graduation as long as you put the work in. a degree from SU will benefit you more in the long run.
