i applied as a transfer for the fall 2011 semester to both rutgers and syracuse and i am planning to major in elementary education. im really undecided on where i should go. financial aspects aside, any thoughts? thanks!

I was just about to post a HUGE response to this thread, comparing Rutgers and Syracuse, detail by detail, however I accidentally went “back” the previous page and lost everything I had written. I’m too PO’ed to write it all again, so I’ll just response with small statements.

Both are near each other in college rankings.
Syracuse is 4.5 hours away from NYC. Rutgers is 45 minutes away from NYC.
It snows A LOT in Syracuse.
Rutgers is much more of a party school.

I’m sorry, I kind of feel bad for giving you just a poor response, especially when I had wrote something that was easily over 500 words, but I’m just so ****ed right now. I feel like punching a hole into a wall, and crying.

@ funny: are you instate or outstate?

If instate Rutgers is a good school. I mean both are good schools

syracuse is a better school, and the campus is way more attractive

It’s elementary education. Go to Syracuse so you’ll get a better connection into NYC schools (Or just NY in general). In this economy, it’s the connections that are going to get teachers their jobs.

That’s silly. Syracuse is 4.5 hours away from NYC. Rutgers, although it’s in Jersey, is much closer.

at njcollegeboy,
i’m sorry your post deleted but thanks for the help anyway!

at nicwayfarer,
i am instate and i am really familiar with rutgers. that makes this decision even harder
