We were very impressed with Tyler @PruPru25
I was Syracuse class of ‘84. It was nice then, it’s gorgeous today.
@byadg123 Except Marshall Street is quite different and the Jab is long gone, lol.
@JerseyMom2022 Tyler is another great choice at a much better price. My D was also accepted there, it’s going to be tough to beat financially with scholarships and we are in state. Perhaps they will cross paths one day.
Apologies for being off topic.
Marshall Street is quite sad compared to equivalents we’ve seen at other campuses. The lack of a THB is tragic. However, the V is still there with the same lady working the oven as in 1980 so all is not lost. If I had the stomach to move north I’d open a coffee house.

Background:
I’m a white female from Marietta, GA and Syracuse is my first choice! My dream is to do Forensics at Syracuse. I have applied to the College of Arts and Sciences as a Psychology major, I guess I scrolled too fast through the major options and missed Forensics so I put Psychology (my second choice). I guess I was too excited to get my application completed! I met an admissions counselor on my tour and got to know him and have communicated with him a lot, I let him know of my enthusiasm and care for Syracuse. But I was unaware of any interviews until recently so I didn’t get the chance to do one and I wish I knew but it’s whatever for now. I have let the counselor know and asked if there’s anything I can do about the interview. Anyway, can anyone tell me my chances of getting in and chances for merit aid? Since the price has gone up to $70,000, I’m not so sure we can afford it. I don’t qualify for need-based aid. Any aid will help! Please let me know. Thank you!
@quesokatie
RD freshman candidates from within the US will not hear back until the end of March. I got that straight from the admission office. But DO check the financial aid section of your portal regularly because they may ask for more detailed info in addition to FAFSA and CSS profile. And they didn’t email my daughter about it so it was lucky she checked. Click on the link that says ‘financial aid to do list’ in your portal
A student from our high school was accepted 3 days ago RD.
Thank you! I have checked that portion already though. I appreciate your help!
@simple0920 - Domestic without special circumstances?
@byadg123 correct. Totally random and off schedule, although the student does have very high stats, if that makes any difference.
anyone gotten any acceptances today?
Aren’t they not expected for another several weeks?
D18 just got her acceptance!!! And a 25k annual scholarship!!! She is so excited but still realistic about us needing to come up with rest of the money. We are so proud of her!!!
Congrats @PruPru25 ! Did you receive by mail, email or on My Slice?
@PruPru25 congrats! Can you share your stats and major?
@Meant2B it was an email from admissions telling her a decision was reached and to check the portal with a link. Nothing was on the portal this morning so it was just added.
@Mcjc626 engineering with an art minor. She only looked at schools that would allow this combo and have the facilities for it. SAT 1470 gpaW 4.2, high school is all honors/ AP and rigorous STEM. First Robitics mech captain.
@PruPru25 My D is in today too going for engineering with a theatre minor! Fun combos for them!
1480 SAT, IB
I legit started crying today in English bc I was checking my email and found out I got accepted to Syracuse! With a $28,000/yr scholarship!!! Honestly I’m still crying

Congratulations to those with acceptances! Is it just engineering applicants so far?
