Goodluck!
do we think its tomorrow (wednesday) or friday?
Could it be today or do they not do Tuesdays
Pretty sure itâs friday
Friday
any reason why they send out acceptances in waves? maybe iâm just impatient but isnât it a little unfair to the students who get notified later?
Sometimes school releases their priority students earlier bc they are the top applicants
It appears Syracuse does mainly 2 groups - big scholarship winners first, everyone else later. Might be a little unfair, but itâs actually better than a lot of schools Iâve seen where acceptances (and waitlists, rejections) trickle out a little at a time for months in no discernable order.
Are rd decisions coming out on Friday?
ohhh alright thank you. i was under the impression that syracuse just randomly sent out regular admission decisions in waves. this makes a lot more sense
So in other words, those that find out by Friday will be footing the entire bill? ?
I think there are entire schools who havenât admitted anyone RD (newhouse, a&s) does that mean nobody in those schools gets $$?
Last yearâs Syracuse thread had students who got in during RD in mid-April who still received massive $28k scholarships. The students who got in during the first wave seem to be in architecture or engineering, diversity students, honors college, or top applicants.
However, it seems to me that the majority of students that got scholarships and honors college heard back during the first wave of RD (predicted this Friday, if Iâm not wrong).
This does NOT mean that youâll be rejected or wonât receive money if you donât hear back on Friday. It just means that thereâs a little more waiting.
If it follows the pattern from last year, I think that the waves are:
March 15: Accept
March 22: Wait list
March 29: Reject
April 5: Accept + Wait list
Donât quote me on this. The group that posts on CC is a very self-selected group of individuals and often times people donât post rejections, making it harder for applicants to see trends. This is just my prediction
So did they accept everyone for engineering already?
Weâre waiting for engineering. That would suck.
Is anyone on here trying for Bandier? I havenât heard anything yet. Fingers crossed
