I applied to newhouse with a 1460 and a 3.3

architecture with a 1450/730/730/700 and 4.0 UW GPA

wow...not too many people applying from cc

I applied with a 28 ACT, 4.4ish wgpa, 3.9 u/w, about 18 college credits from a local college and 7 AP classes. Also have bunches of ECs(sports, a job, statewide leadership positions)

...but my stats are pathetic compared to all of yours!

Have you visited Syracuse? I have not and was wondering what you all think of the campus.

Wait, anyone get IN ?

They say they're still missing my mid-year, though I KNOW I sent it in. Sigh.

My stats are crap. :) 1280, 3.5, top 20%.

yeah...they said i was missing my mid-year too...but i had it sent a while ago

3.0 gpa 740m, 590v, 700 math 1c, 660 math 2c, 630 writing...obviously hoping my application is good enough for them to overlook my subpar gpa, anyone have any comments on my chances...very competative public high school, 2 ap courses, 3.8 1st semester gpa senior year, school is unranked, vice president of nationally recognized club, varisty athletics 3 years - 2 sports, bunch of other stuff, altar boy, very good recs, good essays, major: theology

brlwsccr19, your 3.0GPA depends on the courses that you took. If it is weighted then it isn't that good. If it is unweighted and your weighted is about .5 higher, you probably are fine. You should have a WEIGHTED GPA arouind 3.5

does anyone know how difficult it is to get into newhouse? Will my 3.3/1460 suffice?

It'll prooobably be sufficient, I'unno.

I got into Newhouse and I'm only 3.5/1280. :) Of course that's not all that factors in, but yeah.

I Got In!!

congrats! When did you find out? It seems early.

I found out on 3/11, sounds like a lot of other people found out as well, nirvana, i would call them up and try to clear everything up...they sent me a letter saying they did not have my sat scores awhile ago, but i called them up and they magically found them...goodluck

I got into Newhouse with a 3.5 uw, 1220 SATs and no SATIIs.

I guess they liked my portfolio or something. Let's hope I have the same luck with NYU!!!

My son was accepted for dual-enrollment at the College of Engineering/Computer Science and the College of Arts and Science(Math). I refuse to identify him by his stats but will say that he works hard in school, has been very active in sports , is respectful of others, and has pride....with a healthy mix of humility. I think these characteristics are what the Admissions people liked about him. Syracuse is his first choice so far but we will make the final decision when the Financial Aid report arrives.

accepted to NEWHOUSE!! broadcast journalism, but i might switch to communications/print journalism...3.6 UW, 4.3 W, 1330 SATI, 720M, 670W, 650Spanish rank: N/A hook: co-EIC of school newspaper

communications, 1440SAT 700V 740M, 780 Writing, 740 IIC, 720 Lit, 760 Korean, 3.3 gpa with most aps possible maybe balanced by the fact that i'm a radio show host on an AM station? idk.

1160 sat, 3.7 unweighted GPA, 30/226 rank, accepted to College of Arts and Sciences
