Syracuse Regular Decision 2023

Hey! I was deferred from Early Decision… Syracuse typically sends decisions out on Fridays weekly. But also, they don’t always go by this, at least they didn’t for ED.

I got in to College of Engineering with a $28K leadership scholarship,
ACT/SAT: 32/1510
GPA: 3.86 UW
From Ohio

@FutureSurgeon27 how did you get your decision? an email?

@FutureSurgeon27 did you find out today? If so, did you get an email? Congrats to you!

people at my school have been saying decisions come out today, is there any truth in that?

No I actually found out last Friday and am just late to post @hannah1789 and @happytimesforever my decision came in an email that included a link to view my letter of acceptance. They also said I would be receiving an official letter of acceptance in the mail.

Hey,congrats! Was this through heop?

Has anyone been accepted through heop?

whats heop

I applied RD to Whitman have not heard back yet!

The past two years SYRACUSE released admissions decisions the 3rd Friday of March (3/15) after 8 pm.

@kesnyder5 I hope it happens again this year! :)))

Has anyone heard anything yet?

Decisions will come out next Friday, not tomorrow…that has been the pattern the last couple years.

I heard that decisions were coming out in waves every Friday until the end of March, which would explain why some RD applicants have already been accepted. Wouldn’t it be possible for another wave of decisions be released tonight?

Hmm hopefully more today

I took a visit to Syracuse after being accepted a couple weeks ago and what I was told is that people who receive their biggest scholarships such as the leadership and ambassador scholars find out earlier than everyone in the “regular” pool because Syracuse wants them more, thus they let them know earlier. If you haven’t heard by now it doesn’t mean that you won’t get in, it just most likely means that you aren’t a top scholar or priority student to the admissions team. They just go after the students they really want first and the rest of the pool all at once.

Makes sense…congrats!!!

@FutureSurgeon27 thanks for the info! Very helpful. It will make our decision about Syracuse a lot easier and quicker. ??

Has anyone heard anything?
