<p>Looks like I’m going to have to enroll and pay housing for another university now because I still have no notification of my status at Syracuse.</p>
<p>JUST received an email. Waitlisted.</p>
<p>2000 SAT, 3.7 GPA… and they’ve offered me admission to CAS, but not Newhouse…? I’m at a loss. </p>
<p>And another wonderful thing is that they’ve offered me admission for the 2014 SPRING semester. Oh joy!</p>

<p>I think my problem was that I submitted my application close to the deadline. Still, they’re not a rolling notification program, so I’m befuddled. Perhaps they’re attempting to protect their yield.</p>

<p>@Flymamma91 Possibly…if you got waitlisted, that means that they need to wait until they see how many accepted student <em>don’t</em> take the offer to enroll. I’m sure they’d want to get back to you as soon as possible, but it will definitely be after the 5/1 deadline to enroll.</p>
<p>Doubt it. Everything I’ve seen clearly indicates that we’ll hear back after the 1st. I really hate my life right now.</p>

<p>I’m really at a loss. Is there any explanation for why I wouldn’t be accepted at Newhouse with a 2000 SAT and a 3.7 GPA? I was offered admission to the CAS for the 2014 Spring Semester, but not the 2013 Fall Semester. Something seems fishy here, and I don’t like it. This has nothing to do with qualifications I’d imagine, but has more to do with politics… there is scheming going on behind the scenes, so for the love of God, don’t feel bad for yourselves.</p>
<p>I really think they’re protecting their yield if an applicant who was accepted at USC was waitlisted.</p>
<p>I got in for A&S for Spring 2014 and i got waitlisted for fall. Kinda surprised tbh I expected to get in for fall 2013. Guess I’ll cross Cuse off my list.</p>

<p>I’ve been waitlisted to Whitman, going to call and see if they knew my intent to double major with Pol. Science to get into Arts and Science. :(</p>
<p>I was waitlisted too!! This school should have been easy for me to get into. I got waitlisted at Whitman. I got into northeastern though and they had 47,000 people apply. I agree with @dreighver. I think that there is something fishy going on. But I guess I can just cross this one off my list.</p>

<p>I’m so upset I was waitlisted. Syracuse is my dream school. I visited, I interviewed, I just wish I did better on my SAT. Sooo does anyone know about waitlists? How long we will have to wait? What we should do in the meantime?</p>
